Salary: $70,000.00 Annually

Position Overview:

Reporting to the QI Support Services Manager, the Abuse Prevention Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all youth in our care. The coordinator takes proactive steps to prevent abuse or neglect from occurring and protects individuals from further harm. This individual works non-traditional hours as determined by the Director of Quality Improvement and Chief Program Officer.

The Abuse Prevention Coordinator is responsible for developing and standardizing systems and processes based on data analysis to identify risk factors and patterns that may indicate maltreatment and to implement strategies that address and prevent those risks

Position Qualifications

Masters degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree plus five years’ experience preferably within a children’s residential setting or High School graduate plus eight years’ experience directly within a children’s residential setting. Knowledge of creating and managing therapeutic milieu, quality assurance activities, goal setting, and city/state child welfare standards. Experience working with survivors of abuse and/or preventing, detecting, or verifying instances of abuse preferred. Excellent written and verbal skills.
