Full job description

Description

Leidos is looking for our next TS/SCI-cleared Production Product Owner/Scrum Master to join a high-energy team responsible for production-environment maintenance, operational sustainment, and data-quality improvement in support of the DIA-NDOC (National Digital Exploitation and OSINT Center) DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). This role is part of a 10-year program supporting the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) Modernization effort, where you’ll contribute to mission-critical capabilities alongside a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented team.

While the majority of work is performed on-site at our customer location in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible schedule and occasional opportunities for remote work.

As the Product Owner, you will work closely with the Lead Systems Engineer, Release Train Engineer, and government leads to decompose high-priority requirements from the product roadmap into valuable, delivered solutions. You will own and prioritize the team backlog, ensuring timely attention to incidents, defects, preventive maintenance, technical debt, data-quality remediation, security findings, and planned operational enhancements.

You will work closely with the team on the following key tasks:

  • Own, maintain, and prioritize the Production Team backlog for production-environment sustainment, data-quality improvement, operational enhancements, and technical debt.

  • Translate operational needs, incidents, stakeholder requests, and data-quality findings into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint-ready work.

  • Balance urgent production-support requirements with planned maintenance, preventive actions, security remediation, and long-term reliability improvements.

  • Facilitate Production Team Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Track production incidents, recurring defects, and root-cause corrective actions to ensure they are prioritized, assigned, and completed.

  • Coordinate data-quality remediation activities, including issue intake, validation criteria, ownership, prioritization, status reporting, and closure verification.

  • Identify and manage dependencies among the Production Team, application-development teams, Platform Team, CI/CD Team, infrastructure/OS team, database team, cybersecurity personnel, and data owners.

  • Help remove impediments affecting Production, Platform, and CI/CD teams, escalating cross-team dependencies, decisions, resource constraints, and operational risks when necessary.

  • Lead and facilitate SAFe ceremonies to include Sprint Planning and Sprint Reviews to include demos, Sprint Retrospective, and PI Planning.

  • Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles with the goal of continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role you need the following (required qualifications):

You’re enthusiastic, collaborative, and comfortable working with teammates across a range of technical backgrounds. You also meet the following qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field and 12 or more years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 or more years of prior relevant experience.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.

  • Experience managing and prioritizing a backlog that includes a mix of production incidents and operational defects, preventive maintenance and technical debt, environment changes and release-support activities, data-quality remediation and validation, monitoring, and vulnerability remediation.

  • Experience with production operations and support processes, including incident management, problem management, root-cause analysis, change management, release coordination, service restoration, and post-incident corrective actions.

  • Familiarity with data-quality management concepts, including data validation, completeness, accuracy, timeliness, consistency, reconciliation, defect tracking, and remediation workflows.

  • Ability to translate operational needs into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, priorities, and definitions of done.

  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and cross-team dependency discussions.

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with developers, production support personnel, the Platform Team, the CI/CD Team, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity personnel, data owners, and mission stakeholders.

  • Strong facilitation, prioritization, stakeholder management, written communication, and organizational skills.

You will wow us even more if you have some of these skills:

  • Experience serving as a Scrum Master for multiple technical teams or a team-of-teams delivery structure.

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Elastic, Redis, CI/CD tooling, GitOps, infrastructure automation, or cloud-native application operations.

  • Experience with observability tools and practices, including dashboards, metrics, logs, alerting, service-level indicators, and service-level objectives.

  • Experience with data-governance, data-quality, master-data, ETL/ELT, data reconciliation, or data lineage activities.

  • Experience coordinating incident response, change advisory processes, release readiness, and operational readiness reviews

  • Product Owner and/or Scrum Master certification, such as CSPO, PSPO, CSM, PSM, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
