FUNCTION & SCOPE:
Reporting to the QA Analyst, the QA Software Tester will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and documenting test activities for the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and related enterprise systems. This role ensures that new features, patches, integrations, and enhancements are delivered with high quality and minimal disruption to business operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on software testing experience with strong familiarity in Oracle EBS modules, structured QA methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration.
The selected candidate will possess critical thinking skills to assess situations and information effectively when problem-solving. It is essential that the selected QA Software Tester be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment to succeed in this role. Additional attributes of a successful candidate include being a highly motivated self-starter with a drive for continuous learning and growth, as well as a commitment to improving support for innovative technologies across multi-cloud & on-prem environments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Assurance & Testing

Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Oracle EBS modules.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Validate Oracle EBS patches, upgrades, and configurations before deployment.

Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools such as Quality Center.

Verify system outputs, data accuracy, workflows, and business rules.

Ensure test coverage is maintained for all critical business processes.
Documentation & Process Management

Develop clear and detailed QA documentation, including test plans, test results, traceability matrices, and defect reports.

Maintain QA standards, templates, and best practices.

Support the creation of UAT scripts and facilitate UAT sessions with functional users.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with business analysts, developers, project managers, and business stakeholders.

Participate in requirements review sessions and design discussions.
-
Provide clear feedback on system functionality, defects, and testing status.

Collaborate on release planning and coordinate testing cycles.
Technical & Functional Expertise
-
Analyze functional test plans and expand testing requirements.
-
Execute SQL queries for data validation and backend verification.
-
Support testing of enterprise reporting tools (OBIEE) when applicable.

Validate integrations between Oracle EBS and third-party applications
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field or combination of experience and education.
-
1-2 years of software QA experience, including at least 1+ years testing Oracle E-Business Suite.

Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and testing best practices.
-
Hands-on experience writing and executing test cases and scenarios.

Proficiency with Oracle EBS modules.

Experience with SQL for data validation and testing backend processes.
-
Familiarity with defect tracking systems such as Quality Center.

Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into test plans.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Requirements/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience with Oracle EBS R12.2.x or cloud migration projects.
-
Exposure to Oracle OBIEE.
-
Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Oracle ATS, etc.).

Knowledge of API testing and integration testing.

Experience working in higher education, research administration, or nonprofit environments.

Salary Range: $54,492 - $68,000
