The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer II to plan and execute complex integration and verification test events. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in system integration and testing. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge missile defense technologies in a collaborative and innovative environment.
This is an onsite entry level role located in Andover, Tewksbury, Woburn, Marlborough MA or Pelham, NH
Support testing effort: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification in both simulated and real-world environments
Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed analysis and debugging
Drive Performance: Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues
Modeling and Analysis: Utilize modeling and simulation tools to predict system performance and support verification and validation
Integrate Systems: Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems in field test and hardware in the loop environments, evaluating their functionality and impact.
Collaborate: Work with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality
Document and Communicate: Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders
Support Missions: Travel as needed (up to 15%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations occurring primarily during first shift and part time section shift hours.
This role is onsite at our RTX facility in Andover, MA. Local travel between Raytheon locations in MA and Southern NH may also be required
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.

Experience with systems requirements, systems integration, systems test, systems software, and/or systems hardware.

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer
-
Strong undergraduate level understanding of electrical, mechanical and/or software system integration, familiarity with C/C++/C# preferred
-
Experience with or exposure to various military platforms such as ships, ground combat systems, fixed and rotary wing aircraft

Experience with tools, such as MATLAB or Python scripting, for instrumentation and collection of large data sets, data analysis and automation
-
Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols
-
Majors: Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
-
Experience in the Defense Industry specifically with military systems and procedures.

Understanding of the Systems Engineering Product Cycle.
-
Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field supporting integration and/or verification.

Experience in developing and managing system requirements.

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
