Staff Accountant | Real Estate Development | Oakland - Hybrid
Join a highly regarded real estate investment and development firm behind a diverse portfolio of impactful projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to build a well-rounded career in real estate. You'll gain exposure to AP, GL accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and multi-entity accounting while working closely with both accounting and operational teams. The firm is known for its strong culture, excellent tenure, and opportunities for growth and ownership.
Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices and manage accounts payable across multiple entities and projects

Maintain vendor relationships and support payment processing

Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions

Support month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

Assist with consolidations, audits, tax support, and compliance reporting

Partner with accounting, operations, and project teams to improve processes and strengthen controls

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
-
2-5+ years of accounting experience with exposure to AP and general ledger accounting
-
Experience in real estate, construction, or another project-based environment preferred

Experience working in a multi-entity environment
-
Yardi or similar ERP experience preferred
-
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail

Organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
