OVERVIEW

As a Senior Quality Control Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of components used in Veeco's advanced semiconductor equipment. This position is heavily focused on precision dimensional inspection, CMM programming and operation, and the hands-on use of advanced metrology equipment to validate complex machined parts, electro-mechanical assemblies, and subassemblies.

The successful candidate will possess strong expertise using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, bore gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, and other precision measurement tools to verify conformance to engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, customer specifications, and industry standards. You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Supplier Quality teams to ensure only conforming product enters the manufacturing process while supporting new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is well suited for inspectors and metrology professionals who have developed expertise in CMM programming, dimensional inspection, and precision measurement within environments such as custom machine shops, CNC machining operations, aerospace suppliers, semiconductor equipment manufacturers, medical device manufacturers, precision contract manufacturers, tool and die operations, or other high-precision manufacturing organizations.

Worksite Location: Somerset, NJ | Relocation Assistance Available
