I'm partnering with a well-respected organization in South Arkansas that is looking to add a Controller to its leadership team. This is a high-impact opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys leading teams, partnering with executive leadership, and helping shape the financial direction of an organization.

Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 DOE

Why This Opportunity?

This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll partner directly with executive management and help drive the financial strategy of a growing financial institution. You'll oversee all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and team development while serving as a key member of the Finance leadership team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead all internal and external financial reporting activities

  • Oversee monthly close processes and financial statement preparation

  • Manage the general ledger and chart of accounts

  • Ensure strong internal controls and account reconciliation processes

  • Coordinate external audits and regulatory examinations

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning

  • Provide technical accounting guidance related to U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements

  • Oversee tax reporting processes and relationships with tax advisors

  • Support CECL reporting, IRR and Liquidity reporting, and yield analysis

  • Present financial analyses, recommendations, and reporting to executive leadership and ALCO

  • Mentor, develop, and lead the Accounting Department team

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required

  • CPA license required

  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Prior leadership and supervisory experience

  • Experience with financial reporting and internal controls

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and regulatory accounting requirements

  • Banking or financial institution experience strongly preferred

  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with executive leadership

  • Experience managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop accounting professionals
