Koniag Professional Services, LLC a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking a System Analyst & Tester to support KPS and our government customer. The position is remote. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

This position will be part of a team supporting a Federal client with a business and IT modernization project.

Koniag Professional Services, LLC , LLC is seeking a Systems Analyst / Tester to support a Federal client (DOI BTFA) with a business and IT modernization project. This is a full-time, remote position supporting an AI-enabled application being designed and built from the ground up. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and passionate about delivering quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business and system requirements to support application development and testing efforts

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks (TDD/BDD, Keyword, POM, and Hybrid frameworks such as Selenium)

  • Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual and automated testing

  • Create and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JMeter, and POSTMAN for API testing

  • Execute functional, regression, performance, and security test cases

  • Develop and maintain reusable test tools and mock test frameworks for API and automated testing

  • Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution; generate detailed defect analysis with proposed solutions

  • Perform data validation and functional application testing

  • Coordinate with project managers, system analysts, and scrum masters to define testing scope within release context and project schedule

  • Apply appropriate test measurements and metrics to isolate, replicate, and report defects

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and verify that solutions meet business needs

  • Document business requirements including specifications, use cases, and user stories

  • Coordinate testing activities and data collection with internal and external customers

  • Generate, present, and distribute standard and ad-hoc test results reports with recommendations

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

  • Assist with backlog grooming and ensure user stories meet defined acceptance criteria

  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and results to project leadership and stakeholders

  • Support continuous improvement efforts across the development and testing process

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of experience in systems management lifecycle or Agile methodology

  • 3+ years of hands-on software testing experience, including web application testing

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies, including unit, functional, integration, and regression testing

  • Experience developing and executing test plans and test cases for web-based applications

  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or JMeter

  • Experience with RESTful service architecture and API testing (e.g., POSTMAN)

  • Experience with Modern React, NodeJS, and testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Chai, TypeScript, Cypress, or Puppeteer

  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps / Test Plans, including creating and managing epics, features, user stories, tasks, and bug tracking

  • Understanding of web-based enterprise software, .NET Framework, C#, JavaScript, and databases

  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies

  • Experience writing and documenting business requirements (BRS, use cases, user stories)

  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to clearly describe business and system requirements

  • Working knowledge of database systems and SQL

Clearance Requirement:

  • Ability to obtain a DOI Public Trust Moderate Clearance

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or hold an Employment Authorization Document with at least 3 years of consistent U.S. residency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar requirements and tracking tools

  • Experience with T-SQL and Azure databases (Cosmos, SQL Server, MySQL)

  • Experience with production testing, including monitoring and testing applications in live environments

  • Familiarity with automation frameworks including Selenium, PowerShell, .NET Core, HTML

  • Familiarity with requirements management frameworks such as IEEE, ITIL, or CMMI

  • Experience with version control tools such as Git, TFVC, Codebeamer, or Subversion

  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts

  • Experience integrating COTS and custom software in enterprise solutions (SAS, SAP, or Pega preferred)

  • Experience with data warehouse projects

  • Experience with custom search applications (Azure Cognitive Search, Elastic Search, Solr)

  • Experience with AI/machine learning document enrichment projects

  • Familiarity with formalized testing or requirements traceability practices
