Fish Processing Plant Manager

Job Description

Main Functions:

Oversee Management staff, production employees and production to ensure the plant is running smoothly, efficiently and safely while meeting KPI's.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee daily operations as it relates to production, policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and focus on the FPI's.

  • Develop processes to maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.

  • Plan, organize and direct optimum day to day operations to meet customer expectations.

  • Responsible for product output, quality and on time shipping.

  • Implement strategies and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.

  • Build a trusting relationship with workgroup, recruit, manage and develop staff.

  • Collect and analyze data to identify areas of improvement.

  • Commit to and enforce Health and Safety.

Requirements:

  • Proven Managerial Experience-Engineering or Food Processing.

  • Knowledge of business and management principles.

  • Knowledge of safety, quality and productivity.

  • Create accountability and lead by example.

  • Technical proficiency in software applications used by the company, including operational and management tools.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with experience in team building, conflict resolution, and goal setting.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding practical and efficient solutions.

  • A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
