Full job description

Hours: Wednesday-Saturday, 8pm-6:30am

Pay : $17.00 - $19.00 per hour, based on education and experience (range includes applicable shift differential).

Description: Proactive team player needed to prepare and label blood components from donated blood. Will perform and document lab equipment quality control and maintenance; and assist with maintaining, filing, and storing lab records. Ability to evaluate information and recognize discrepancies. Job-specific training provided.

Training: Training will be at our Beaumont location in Lexington, Monday – Friday for 8 weeks. The hours for training will be 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.

Work Environment: This position regularly involves the following:

  • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.

  • Frequently fulfill basic clerical duties (typing/writing).

  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.

  • Frequently bend or reach to perform various job tasks.

  • Analyze complex situations and make sound decisions.

  • Adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.

  • Perform repetitive motion/precision work for extended periods of time.

  • Visually differentiate and identify specific colors, and various shades

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/equivalent. Related training and education a plus.

  • Basic MS Office skills with the ability to effectively navigate web-based applications and systems.

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to easily learn new skills, and follow standard operating procedures.

  • Must work well with others and demonstrate a desire to effectively interact with the public.

  • Have a strong, stable work history.

  • Pre-employment background check, and drug screen are required.

  • Proof of education/certifications required during the interview process.
