Asst/Assoc/Prof - Dept of Urology, Urologic Oncology

Position Description:

The TTUHSC Department of Urology is dedicated to providing the highest standard of urologic care in a compassionate and thorough manner using the latest technology. We offer a comprehensive educational experience encompassing all fields of urology to provide our residents with the training to succeed in either academic or private practice.

Major/Essential Functions:

  • Provide high-quality, comprehensive urologic care for patients;

  • Diagnose and treat cancers of the urinary tract and reproductive system;

  • Develop and implement treatment plans including screening, therapy and medications;

  • Provide procedural and surgical care as needed;

  • Coordinate care with referring provider and other specialists, if applicable;

  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment and procedures;

  • Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation; and

  • Participation in resident and medical student education

  • Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3.

  • Completion of, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Urology Residency.

  • ABMS Board Eligible, in the process of becoming Board Eligible, or Board Certified in Urology.

Visa Information:

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
