Full job description

The Team

We are seeking a Director, Payable Solutions to join American Tower’s Global Business Services (“GBS”) Payables organization. The Director acts as the global delivery lead and oversees the end-to-end delivery of the organization’s services across all geographies, ensuring consistent quality, operational efficiency, and alignment with global standards. The Director is a key link between process strategy and day-to-day delivery, collaborating heavily with the global process owner and upstream Supply Chain and Property team employees to translate process design and standards into executable workflows and effective service delivery . The Director leads a geographically dispersed team in multiple time zones and partners with global process owners, service center leads, and business stakeholders to deliver high-performing, scalable, and customer-centric services.

The Payables team timely and accurately processes disbursements to employees, individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities through the Oracle Accounts Payable module.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in either Accounting or Finance strongly preferred

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in large-scale service delivery, global business services, or operations management.

  • 5+ years in a leadership role managing global or regional delivery teams.

  • Experience leading teams in process execution and service delivery in a complex, global environment with a range of stakeholders.

  • Payables process expertise, with telecommunications industry experience preferred.

  • Success in implementing process optimization initiatives and global transformation programs.

  • Strong background in service governance and KPI/SLA, customer experience, and vendor management.

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and workflow automation tools.

  • Financial accountability for managing budgets (e.g., project, staff) and return on investment tracking.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing high-performing teams across functional and regional boundaries.

  • Approximately 20% travel may be required to support the position’s responsibilities.

  • Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for yourself and a team to meet requirements and deadlines.

  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.

  • Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate a team to achieve results.

What You Can Offer Us

  • Lead global Payables teams, shaping the operating model and resource allocation across regions for optimal effectiveness, coverage, and scalability.

  • Oversee consistent execution of standardized processes and adherence to service level agreements (“SLAs”).

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (“KPIs”), lead structured stakeholder reviews, and proactively address performance risks, deficiencies, and escalations.

  • Participate in the selection, onboarding, performance management, and contract compliance of third party providers.

  • Oversee all compliance, audit readiness, and policy and/or regulatory adherence for lease management.

  • Partner with global process owners to define standardized end-to-end process designs with seamless handoffs.

  • Lead the implementation of process/workflow changes and automation and /or digital solutions to optimize delivery models, improve cost efficiency, and enhance lease management quality.

  • Lead transitions, migrations, and onboarding of new services.

  • Closely engage with stakeholders to translate process designs and business requirements into high-quality payables strategies.

  • Facilitate payables reviews and governance forums with market, regional, and senior stakeholders.

  • Serve as the global point of contact for payables performance issues and escalations.

  • Foster a culture of customer centricity, operational rigor, and innovation.
