Standard Job Description

You will be the Tool & Die Maker Specialist for our manufacturing team. Our team is responsible for designing, fabricating, and assembling metalworking dies, molds, and machine tool fixtures to exacting tolerances and dimensions.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Tool & Die Maker Specialist, you will be responsible for laying out, fabricating, and assembling complex tools and dies by analyzing blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications. You will use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and precision.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing blueprints and specifications to design and fabricate tools and dies

  • Using manual and CNC machines, such as bridge ports, lathes, and mills

  • Computing dimensions and determining machining and material requirements

  • Performing precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions

  • Recommending design revisions and solving fabrication problems

Basic Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of manual bridge ports, lathes and CNC mills / lathes.

  • Good communication and computer skills.

  • Works with limited supervision and self starter.

  • Uses both standard and metric system.

  • Good attention to detail and attendance.

  • Specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.

  • 3 years of experience.

Desired Skills

  • Specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.

  • 5 years of experience.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $45200.00 - $84000.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
