Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire a Supervising Staff Engineer to join one of our Fortune 500 global food manufacturing customers at their corporate headquarters in Austin, MN. This is a permanent position, looking for a candidate local to the area OR eligible to relocate (competitive relocation package provided). This role would have a standard schedule of onsite 7 AM - 4 PM Monday through Thursday, with Friday's being flexible on location based on business need. You will be responsible for leading a small team of electrical and controls engineers, supporting manufacturing facilities with engineering projects and technical challenges, and acting as the go-to expert for electrical systems, automation, and industrial controls. You'll work closely with plant leaders, project teams, IT, and cybersecurity to improve reliability, implement new technologies, and ensure facilities meet company and industry standards. The role is roughly a mix of leadership, project management, and hands-on engineering support, with up to 20% travel to their facilities. The salary range for this role is between $122,275 - $171,200, plus a target incentive. This role also offers an impressive benefits package including annual merit increases, medical, dental, vision, pension, 401k, stock plan, PTO and Free 2 years of higher education for employee dependents.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree within an engineering related field (ie. Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, etc)
- 3-5 years of experience as a Controls or Electrical Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Experience designing electrical and controls systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain in 1 year
- Project Management Professional credential
- Rockwell Automation platform experience
