Network Engineer

Description

The Network Engineer will primarily support the organization's network infrastructure while also performing selected systems administration responsibilities. The individual will join the infrastructure team and assist with network configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, maintenance, and lifecycle management.

Top Skills:

Strong Cisco routing and switching experience

Experience troubleshooting enterprise networks

Enterprise firewall experience (Checkpoint preferred, Palo Alto, Cisco, Sophos acceptable)

SD-WAN concepts including:

Class-Based Access Control (CBAC)

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

Policy-Based Routing (PBR)

QoS

Zone-Based Firewall concepts

BGP knowledge and experience

Understanding of WAN technologies:

MPLS

Metro Ethernet

Circuit types and connectivity concepts

Strong TCP/IP and OSI model knowledge

Network troubleshooting expertise

Required certification: CCNA or higher (CCNP preferred)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to clearly document technical processes and communicate effectively

Secondary Skills:

Check Point Firewall administration

Check Point SD-WAN

Wireless networking / Enterprise Wi-Fi

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $62.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
