Defect Systems Operator - Moses Lake Production Campus
The Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. Summary
This job is responsible for the operation of the upstream optical equipment and defect removal systems in the facility. The Defect Systems Operator has primary responsibility for product quality with regard to defects.
It is imperative that the Defect Systems Operator conducts himself/herself in a manner that ensures alertness and constant awareness of the safe operation of equipment and its surroundings.
Key Responsibilities

Fully understand the purpose and operation of the upstream optical equipment and defect removal systems along with having the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates.

Responsible for making appropriate adjustments, corrections in equipment settings, and ensuring proper sanitation of equipment to effectively meet defect targets without excessive product loss.
Typical Education
High School Graduate or GED
Relevant Experience
-
Must be qualified as a Fry Plant Assistant Process Operator or Fry Plant Sanitation II for one year

Must demonstrate computer skills.

Must have an acceptable safety record.

Must have an acceptable attendance record.
