Salary Range $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly

Description
As a Food Service Assistant Supervisor, you will help manage staff in daily food service operations, including training staff when needed. You will also help to cover for staff shortages across both affiliates. You will report to the Food Service Supervisor. You will travel between Albany and Schenectady sites. The schedule will be Sunday through Thursday onsite.
Responsibilities:

Oversee dinner shifts to maintain quality meals and staff accountability for all locations

Oversee meal assembly, food preparation, and portion control to ensure quality and presentation

Train staff
-
Assign daily tasks to staff
-
Help order food
-
Enforce Local/State Health Department guidelines, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points standards.

Maintain logs for food temperatures, production records, and cleaning schedules

Step in to perform kitchen responsibilities during meal times or staffing shortages.
Requirements and Education:
-
High school diploma or General Education Development equivalent; coursework in hospitality, culinary arts, or nutrition required.

1–3 years of experience in food service, commercial kitchens, or catering, with leadership or lead-cook experience required.

ServSafe Manager certification (or state equivalent) required or obtained within 60 days of hire.

A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle required.
