Full job description

Valcor Engineering is seeking a strategic, hands-on Chief Financial Officer to join our executive leadership team. This is more than a traditional finance role. We are looking for a trusted business partner to the CEO who can help drive growth, improve operational performance, and contribute to the long-term success of our company.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable analyzing financial strategy in the boardroom, evaluating capital investments with engineers, and partnering with operations to improve profitability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial, accounting, tax, treasury, and reporting functions.

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives.

  • Provide financial guidance to the CEO, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors.

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.

  • Drive cost reduction, operational efficiency, and profitability initiatives.

  • Manage banking relationships, audits, insurance programs, and external advisors.

  • Ensure strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

  • Evaluate capital investments, strategic opportunities, and potential acquisitions.

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance organization.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of financial leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial planning.

  • Proven experience working with ERP systems; Epicor experience is a plus.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence decisions across departments.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

  • CPA preferred; MBA a plus.

  • Aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience with closely held or family-owned businesses is desirable.

What We're Looking For

  • A strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • A collaborative leader who builds trust and credibility throughout the organization.

  • A professional who communicates candidly, acts with integrity, and embraces accountability.

  • A finance executive who enjoys partnering with leaders across the business to drive results.

  • All candidates must meet the US persons criteria.

What We Offer

  • Direct partnership with the CEO and Board of Directors.

  • Opportunity to influence the strategic direction of a respected aerospace manufacturer.

  • Competitive base salary plus bonus opportunity.

  • Comprehensive benefits package.

  • A stable, profitable company with a strong culture and long-term vision.

Interested candidates should submit a résumé and cover letter outlining their qualifications and the value they would bring to Valcor Engineering.
