We specialize in equity and fixed income portfolio management for institutional and advisory clients around the world. Our mission is to help clients achieve their long-term financial goals through active portfolio management and a research-driven investment framework. Aristotle attracts and retains talented investment professionals through a culture focused on research, investment management and client success.

What You’ll Do

The CLO Analyst will be a member of our CLO management and tranche investing teams. Responsibilities include independently evaluating investment opportunities, assessing investment risks, developing investment recommendations, maintaining portfolio analytics and data, and monitoring performance and compliance. The role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, familiarity with leveraged loans and CLO structures (or other structured products), and the ability to collaborate across trading, portfolio management, research, operations, and client-service functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently monitor the leveraged loan and CLO markets for investment opportunities, including:

  • Reviewing investment bank materials and market color for opportunities and risks.

  • Monitoring dealer offers and secondary-market opportunities.

  • Reviewing BWIC activity.

  • Tracking primary-market transactions and new issues for investment opportunities.

  • Independently evaluate portfolio and security-level performance, relative value, and investment risks to identify opportunities and develop investment recommendations.

  • Analyze and evaluate loan market activity and trading opportunities, making recommendations on potential transactions based on market conditions, relative value, and portfolio objectives.

  • Aggregate, review, and organize sell-side research relevant to leveraged loans, CLO tranches, and Trestles portfolios.

  • Analyze and interpret CLO portfolio performance trends, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and recommend portfolio adjustments when appropriate.

  • Monitor Trestles CLO compliance tests and portfolio constraints; recommend remedies where necessary.

  • Manage the ACLOX repo portfolio, including evaluating and selecting investment opportunities, constructing the portfolio within established risk parameters, and executing trades as responsibilities expand.

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of portfolio characteristics, concentration limits, collateral quality, and other CLO performance metrics.

  • Maintain CLO cash schedules, noting key focus areas.

  • Develop and maintain analytical frameworks, portfolio data, and recurring reporting infrastructure.

  • Develop and prepare quarterly portfolio analytics for quarterly review meetings and reporting packages.

  • Identify and help resolve research-data discrepancies, unexpected analytical results, and reporting issues.

  • Help maintain and improve a centralized repository of relevant market and portfolio research.

  • Proactively liaise with internal account teams regarding portfolio data, reporting, and information requests.

  • Create responses to ad hoc client and account-team data requests.

  • Identify research, market data, and thematic content that may be useful for business-development initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

We recognize that not all candidates will meet every requirement. If you’re passionate about this role and believe you have the skills to succeed, we encourage you to apply.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or interested in obtaining the CFA designation.

  • Genuine interest in credit markets, corporate finance, and investing.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn.

  • Sound judgment and a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to synthesize complex financial information into concise, actionable insights.

  • Ability to receive and incorporate feedback.
