OneStream Implementation Consultant – Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Location: Houston TX(Hybrid) Employment Type: Long Term Department: Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Practice

About the Role We are seeking an experienced OneStream Implementation Consultant specializing in Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting to join our consulting team. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design, build, and deployment of OneStream solutions that transform our clients' planning, driver-based forecasting, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate bridges deep functional FP&A knowledge with hands-on OneStream technical architecture, delivering scalable CPM/EPM solutions for complex global enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Architecture & Design: Lead functional and technical design workshops to gather FP&A requirements (driver-based planning, workforce planning, revenue/capex modeling, rolling forecasts) and translate them into robust OneStream applications.
  • Core Development: Configure and build OneStream components, including Extensible Dimensionality, Cube Views, Business Rules (VB.net), Workflow profiles, Confirmation Rules, and Data Quality integrations.
  • Specialty Planning Modules: Design and implement OneStream MarketPlace solutions (e.g., People Planning, Capital Planning, Cash Planning, ThingPlanning) to address specialized budgeting workflows.
  • Data Integration: Configure OneStream data sources, transformation rules, connectors, and ETL pipelines to ingest trial balances, transactional details, and subledger data from enterprise ERPs (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
  • Testing & Deployment: Lead system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), defect remediation, and data validation against legacy planning models.
  • Client Enablement: Train client core teams and end users, draft solution architecture documentation (SAD), and facilitate post-go-live hypercare support.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on implementation experience with OneStream Software, with at least 2 full life-cycle OneStream planning implementations completed.
  • Domain Expertise: Strong background in Corporate FP&A, management reporting, driver-based budgeting, long-range planning (LRP), and variance analysis.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Demonstrated mastery of OneStream Extensible Dimensionality across multiple planning cubes.
  • Practical knowledge of writing and troubleshooting VB.net business rules (member formulas, calculation rules, dynamic formulas).
  • Hands-on experience deploying OneStream MarketPlace planning solutions.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Communication: Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to executive finance stakeholders (CFOs, VP of FP&A, Controllers).

Preferred Qualifications

  • OneStream Lead Architect or Certified Professional credential.
  • Prior implementation experience with legacy EPM platforms (Hyperion Planning / Essbase, Oracle PBCS/FCCS, Anaplan, Board).
  • Background in management consulting or professional services.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, relational database concepts, and REST API integrations.
