POSITION TITLE:

Title IV After School Tutor

Saint Matthew's Cathedral School

Hourly rate: Teacher Contract Hourly Rate

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Reports to: Building Principal, Director of Title I

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Title IV Academic Tutor works directly with students that are failing or at risk of failing providing intervention support in reading, language arts, and math for the after school tutoring program

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of effective classroom teaching experience

  • Thorough and complete knowledge of Indiana Academic Math and Reading/Language Arts Standards

  • Proven leadership ability

  • An explicit understanding of effective Math and Reading/Language Arts curriculum and instructional practices

  • Appropriate Licensing to teach K-8, HQ
