Description

We are currently searching for a Director of Assisted Living to work in our Assisted Living facility. In this role, the Director of Assisted Living is responsible for providing supervision and routine health monitoring for residents of residential and ALF living units. Provide emergency first aide to residents and staff. This position reports to the Health Services Administrator and the Executive Director.

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, flexibility for weekends if needed.

The position is responsible for:

Supervising the staff which involves direct and indirect responsibilities for interviewing, selection, training, motivating, wage and salary administration, performance appraisals, managing policies and procedures to ensure achievement of the department's goals.

Responsibility for the strategic planning and operations of the department by implementing cost control measures and meeting budget goals.

Assisting with assessments of new residents moving from Independent Living or the outside into Assisted Living.

Responsibility for the appearance of the Assisted Living Department.

Participating in the Level of Care meetings

Managing the day-to-day needs of the residents. Communicating needs or changes to the family members. Conduct family meetings related to residents.

Overseeing medication dispensing and handling. Ensuring that proper medications inventory levels are maintained and that audits are being performed on a regular basis. Oversees monthly MORS.

Qualifications:

Must be familiar with long term care of the older adults and be able to function independently. Possesses the ability to speak, read and understand English. Two years LTC or AL experience required.

Bachelor's degree in health-related field or Registered Nurse (R.N.) with at least two years experience

CORE training required

Must be CPR Certified
