Job Title: Logistics Engineer III, Rail Operations Department: Engineering & Science Country: United States of America State/Province: Arkansas City: Lowell Full/Part Time: Full time Job Summary: Under general supervision, the position is responsible for utilizing problem solving and quantitative methods to provide engineering solutions in various areas of the organization. The incumbent will coordinate with internal and external customers to understand the parameters of projects. Job Description: Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply knowledge of organization to make improvements to existing processes or solutions
  • Increase awareness and knowledge of quantitative methods, computer programming, optimization, and/or solution design to support data analysis
  • Identify and solve problems related to process improvement by analyzing internal and external data or process mapping
  • Analyze a variety of data and processes to reduce cost and increase business productivity
  • Tailor communication of technical information to audience of peers and business partners
  • Interact with internal and external customers to understand stakeholder needs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement solutions

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience, and training with 4 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or related field

AND Demonstration of the following

  • Experience in data visualization software, statistics, operations research, linear programming, forecasting, predictive modeling, relational databases, and/or SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in transportation, supply chain, logistics engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with data analysis, database management, and data visualization tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Experience leveraging automation and workflow tools, including Microsoft Power Automate, Databricks, or comparable technologies, to improve operational efficiency and reporting processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex operational data and develop data-driven solutions.

Compensation: Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
