Manager, Nursing
Full-Time | 3rd Shift 7 pm - 3 am
Labor and Delivery I Corbin, KY
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Unit is a vital component of the hospital's Women's Health services, dedicated to the safe management of childbirth and immediate maternal-newborn care. This unit provides comprehensive, patient- and family-centered care throughout labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period, focusing on clinical excellence, safety, emotional support, and individualized care. The Labor and Delivery Unit coordinates multidisciplinary services to monitor maternal and fetal well-being, manage labor progression, respond to obstetric emergencies, and ensure seamless transitions to postpartum and neonatal care.
A registered professional nurse who works in a cooperative and consultative relationship with the Department Director and assumes the primary responsibilities for the administration of nursing services within their department.
Description:
Provides clinical leadership and support to nursing and ancillary staff.
Implement departmental policies, procedures, and quality initiatives.
Promotes effective communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
Assists with staffing, scheduling, and human resource functions as delegated.
Supports performance improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
Serves as a resource and mentor to staff.
Demonstrates Baptist Health Core Values and organizational standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required; graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current Kentucky RN license.
Five years of nursing experience required.
BLS within 30 days of hire; ACLS and Nurse Wound Care within 90 days.
Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia, NIH Stroke Certification, and 12 Lead Training within 6 months.
Glucometer Training upon hire and Aegis/DY as identified.
