This role is responsible for providing technical leadership in product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across fluorochemical product lines within the Fluorochemicals business, including Forane®, PCA, and Cigalon®. The role oversees quality systems, nonconformance investigations, product testing optimization, and risk ‑ mitigation activities across manufacturing and logistics operations in the Americas Region. The position requires strong cross ‑ functional collaboration with production, laboratory, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure product integrity, operational reliability, and adherence to industry and regulatory standards.

This position is based in Calvert City, KY, with hybrid flexibility and regular onsite presence. Occasional travel may be required, approximately up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Forane® Quality & Customer Support

  • Lead nonconformance investigations and coordinate corrective and preventive actions across production, laboratory, and supply chain teams.

  • Lead customer complaint investigations and support internal and external quality audits.

  • Develop, streamline, and oversee Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, including management of SharePoint EDMS.

  • Provide guidance on product testing optimization and support specialty or high ‑ purity production campaigns.

  • Oversee quality testing optimization and support high ‑ purity or specialty production campaigns as needed.

  • E-Grade – Support and Interface with customers, Supply Chain, and projects

  • Be an interface between business and plant understanding Plant capabilities and new product and customer requirements

  • Complete Customer surveys and inquiries as required

PCA Support

  • Serve as the primary liaison between laboratory, production, and operations for PCA‑related processes and quality activities.

  • Provide technical support for MARPOL marine vessel operations, including vessel cleaning and process improvements.

  • Develop and maintain ISO documentation for PCA and related supply chain processes.

  • Oversee PCA equipment programs, including maintenance, corrosion monitoring, sampling procedures, and quality testing optimization.

Cigalon® and Maritime Logistics Support

  • Provide operational and technical support for maritime transfers, including barges, isotanks, and bulk storage equipment.

  • Ensure equipment readiness and compliance with applicable quality and safety requirements.

  • Support quality testing requirements for loading operations and assist with ISO‑related logistics projects.

Fluorochemicals Support & Emergency Response

  • Provide backup emergency response support for PCA and BF₃, in coordination with HES teams.

  • Assist with BF₃ driver training and maintain related safety and compliance documentation.

  • Review and approve technical artwork, labeling, and branding updates for fluorochemical products.

  • Support tolling partner coordination and equipment inspections, including MEGC assets.

Supply Chain Interface & Capital Project Support

  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to support import processes, production planning, and material flow for fluorochemical products.

  • Coordinate equipment readiness, storage requirements, product specifications, and transloading activities.

  • Provide subject‑matter‑expert support for capital projects involving packaging, logistics infrastructure, and Forane®‑related site initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Tolling team and be a liaison between the plant and business / tolling teams

  • Lead Supplier Complaint and raw material investigation process

  • Attend weekly and monthly meetings - collaborate in S&OP process

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, quality engineering, or supply chain engineering.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field required; Master’s Degree preferred.

  • ISO 9001 and Six Sigma certifications preferred

Competencies

  • Strong technical expertise in chemical manufacturing, fluorochemical processes, and quality systems.

  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to interpret SPC data and identify trends.

  • Proficiency in leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

  • Experience managing QMS procedures, ISO documentation, and electronic document systems.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for engagement with production, laboratory, supply chain, and customer teams.

  • Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and emergency response readiness.
