Packaging Machine Operator / Production Specialist
Location: Kent, WA
Schedule: 9:30 pm- 6 am, Monday-Friday
Pay rate: $22.75
Job Summary
Hiring a Temporary Packaging Machine Operator / Production Specialist supports multiple positions on a food production and packaging line. This role may rotate between operating packaging equipment, handling products, inspecting quality, assembling cartons, and preparing finished products for shipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Rotate between production positions, including Slide Operator, Pouch Placer, Boxer, Bread Layer, and Bulk Packer.

Stack products in layers inside boxes and monitor product flow on the conveyor line.

Remove products from the conveyor and place them into assembled boxes.

Inspect products for quality while monitoring the conveyor line from the freezer through the production process.

Monitor metal detection equipment and complete required observations or measurements at critical control points.

Stack completed boxes onto pallets for transport.
-
Move product-filled boxes through the taping machine.
-
Operate the cartoner and stack completed boxes for shipment.
-
Load finished boxes onto the incline conveyor.
-
Change date and product codes on the taper, hand stamp, and cartoner.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices requirements.

Report food safety concerns to authorized personnel.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
-
Perform other production and packaging duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced food production or packaging environment.
-
Must have food & manufacturing experience
-
Ability to rotate between multiple workstations and production tasks.
-
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
-
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
-
Strong attention to product quality, safety, and accuracy.
-
Ability to work scheduled hours, including overtime when required.
-
Must maintain reliable and punctual attendance.
-
Must comply with applicable food-handler health and safety requirements.
-
Must follow plant safety, food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.

Work Environment
This position is performed in a food manufacturing and packaging facility. Employees may work around conveyor systems, packaging equipment, refrigerated or freezer areas, noise, and moving production machinery. Required personal protective equipment and safety procedures must be followed at all times.
