We're seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Facility Resident Project Representative (RPR) to support the construction of critical water infrastructure projects throughout the New Mexico area.
In this role, you'll serve as Jacobs' on-site representative, providing construction observation and documentation to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract documents, engineering standards, and client requirements. Working directly with contractors, engineers, utility owners, and project managers, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of water treatment facilities, pump stations, and tanks. Your field expertise and attention to detail will help ensure quality construction while maintaining accurate project records and facilitating communication among project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

On site observation of construction activities to verify compliance with contract
-
documents and specifications.

Documenting and reporting non conforming work, including deviations from plans,
-
materials, or installation procedures.

Conducting final inspections to confirm all punch list items and contract requirements are completed.

Monitoring installation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and prestressed concrete tanks, including excavation, backfill, site piping, concrete, masonry buildings, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, valves, pumping and treatment equipment installation, instrumentation and control component installation, and function and performance testing. (Supported by the design team)

Maintaining daily field reports, photos, quantities, and progress logs for engineer and owner review.

Coordinating with engineers, contractors, and utility staff to resolve field issues and clarify design intent.

Observing pressure tests, leakage tests, and disinfection procedures for water treatment facilities and pipelines.

Tracking materials delivered and installed. Ensuring proper storage of equipment and materials as noted in the specifications.

Support change order documentation by identifying field conditions, contract document conflicts, or means and methods that differ from design.

Ensuring environmental compliance, including erosion control, dewatering, and dust control.

5+ years of experience in potable water or water resource recovery facility construction.

Proven experience serving as a Resident Project Representative (RPR), Construction Inspector, or Owner's Representative.

Strong understanding of water treatment facility or water resource recovery facility construction and operation.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, shop drawing and submittals.

Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare detailed field documentation.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic reporting systems.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and traverse active construction sites.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally within the New Mexico area.
