Job Details

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides treatment to children/adults at our outpatient facility and is a vital member of a multidisciplinary team providing advanced, high-quality healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates and treats speech, language, and swallowing needs in children and adults of all ages and diagnoses.

  • Develops individualized treatment plans and sets goals for children/adults diagnosed as needing speech and language/feeding/swallowing interventions. Re-evaluates and modifies treatment programs as warranted.

  • Selects appropriate evaluation tool(s) for the purpose of assessment.

  • Provide speech therapy services to children with IEPs.

  • Areas addressed include articulation, voice, fluency, receptive and expressive language skills, oral motor competence and dysphagia.

  • Accurate documentation for all patient visits in EMR

  • Educate patient and family members.

  • Work with the interdisciplinary team when indicated for plan of care.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech and Language from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

  • New York State license and registration in Speech-Language Pathology required.

  • BLS certification.

  • TSSLD Certification is required.

  • Pediatric MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) experience preferred.

  • Pediatric and adult outpatient experience preferred.

  • Infant feeding experience preferred.

  • Ideal candidates possess a passion for and experience in pediatrics and enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.

  • Ability to comply with all regulatory standards.

Salary Range

USD $45.96 - USD $57.50 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
