Full job description

Employment Type: Part timeShift: Day Shift Description: Shift: 7am-11am Monday through Friday. May have to: Cover 8hr shifts Travel to outreach clinics Cover call

What you will do:

  • Performs nuclear medicine procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency call-back basis including, but not limited to, ordering, measuring, preparing, and administration of radioactive materials, operating nuclear medicine equipment, and documenting activities as specified by regulatory agencies.
  • Provides care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problem

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
  • Registry eligible or Registered by the NMTCB and/or ARRT
  • Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice
  • Maintains active registry status in NMTCB and/or ARRT
  • Participates in professional society
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
  • 1 CEU per year in Radiation Safety/24 CEU’s every 2 years/1 CEU per year in QA
