Full job description

Description

Are you a sales leader who thrives on building high-performing teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environment? Amazon Ads is looking for a Sales Manager to lead a team of sales professionals who help brands connect with customers through our advertising solutions. In this role, you will define and execute sales strategies, develop talent, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive revenue growth. You will tackle complex, ambiguous challenges while shaping the long-term direction of your team's go-to-market approach. If you are a collaborative, analytical, and people-focused leader ready to make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define and execute sales strategies, establish team goals, and design workflows that drive revenue growth and operational excellence across your organization.

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent while providing coaching, actionable feedback, and career development planning to grow future leaders on your team.

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders—including product, marketing, and finance—to align priorities, negotiate resources, and deliver integrated advertising solutions that meet customer needs.

  • Leverage data and customer insights to identify areas of opportunity, manage risks, and build scalable processes that improve team performance and the customer experience.

  • Evaluate campaign performance, refine go-to-market tactics, and use tools such as Salesforce and generative AI to augment productivity and the quality of your team's output.

A day in the life

You start your morning reviewing team metrics and pipeline health, then jump into a coaching session with one of your direct reports preparing for a strategic client pitch. Midday, you join a cross-functional meeting to align on an upcoming product launch and its implications for your sales strategy. In the afternoon, you work through a narrative for leadership that outlines your team's quarterly priorities and resource needs, then close the day connecting with a new hire to walk through their onboarding plan.
