Payroll Specialist
Location: Park City, UT
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Opportunity
Join a growing, nationally recognized company in the ski and outdoor lifestyle industry as a Payroll Specialist supporting a dynamic, multi-entity organization. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and confidentiality.
The Payroll Specialist will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for multiple U.S. and Canadian entities while supporting broader accounting and financial operations.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule , with 3 days onsite at our Park City, Utah office and 2 days working from home .
What You'll Do

Process bi-weekly payroll for two U.S. entities and one Canadian entity

Review payroll data and ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions

Maintain accurate payroll records and promptly resolve discrepancies

Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion

Respond to payroll questions from employees and managers

Partner with HR and Accounting on new hires, rehires, terminations, employee changes, benefits, and compliance

Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation

Assist with payroll-related audits and month-end accounting processes

Ensure payroll processes comply with applicable U.S. and Canadian laws and regulations

Support additional accounting and finance projects as needed
What We're Looking For
-
2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience required
-
Experience independently processing and reviewing payroll
-
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
-
Multi-state and/or multi-entity payroll experience strongly preferred
-
Experience with Canadian payroll is a plus
-
Seasonal industry payroll experience preferred

Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel

Solid understanding of wage and hour laws, payroll taxes, deductions, and compliance requirements

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to consistently meet strict payroll deadlines

High level of discretion when handling confidential information

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal business environment

Reliable ability to commute to Park City, Utah 3 days per week
