StarkWare is looking for a sharp, tech-savvy and highly motivated Assistant Controller to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, you will play a key role in our day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and monthly close processes, while gaining hands-on experience in the financial and accounting aspects of digital assets and blockchain technology. We are looking for someone who combines strong accounting fundamentals with a passion for technology, AI, and automation. You’ll have the opportunity to challenge existing processes, introduce smarter ways of working, and help shape a modern, efficient, and technology-driven finance function. Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting under US GAAP.
  • Work with the team to ensure accurate bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and financial records.
  • Monitor and reconcile digital asset holdings and transactions across wallets, exchanges, and custody platforms, ensuring accurate accounting records and appropriate accounting and tax treatment.
  • Drive the adoption of AI and automation tools across finance, streamlining workpapers, recurring tasks, and financial processes.
  • Support the development and improvement of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls, with a focus on efficiency and automation.
  • Work closely with external auditors, accountants, and tax advisors on audits, accounting matters, and tax compliance.

Requirements Must Have

  • CPA with Big 4 experience.
  • Up to 3 years of post-internship experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and US GAAP.
  • Strong technological orientation, curiosity about AI and automation, and a drive to improve existing processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong Excel proficiency.
  • Fluent English.
  • Proactive, independent, and hands-on, with a strong sense of ownership and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with AI or finance automation tools.
  • Experience with Priority ERP.
  • Graduated with honors or worked in a Big 4 firm’s Professional Practice Department.
  • Familiarity with cryptocurrencies, digital assets, and blockchain technology.
