Quality Control Auditor, 1st shift

Position Summary

The QC Auditor is responsible for the first time delivery of quality products as they flow throughout the operation and to the customer both internally and externally. The QC Auditor is responsible for inspecting parts at various parts of the process.

Essential Functions

Audit each workstation to ensure compliance of standard for part number, pack standards, and customer expectations.

Report nonconformance and, with assistance, determine dispositions and process deviations. Provide input into the resolution of problems.

Provide assistance in interpreting specifications, measurement methods, containment procedures, and monitoring new or difficult parts.

Initiate, complete, and verify records documenting quality assurance activities to assure compliance to ensure internal procedures, customer requirements, and EH&S requirements are met.

Maintain a clean, orderly work area.

Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

Prefer 1 year of quality or equivalent experience.

Ability to use and understand various precision measuring tools.

Knowledge of quality processes and procedures.

Ability to consistently meet production and quality standards.

Provide written communication, as needed.

Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Experience

1 or more years work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or quality environment preferred, but not required.

Working Conditions

Stand and/or sit for up to 8 + hours.

Must be able to operate mobile equipment.

Able to lift and/or maneuver up to 50 + pounds.

Ability to climb, bend, twist, and/or stoop.

Must be flexible and willing to work any shift, including overtime and weekends.
