Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Education to partner with the Director of Operations and leadership team at our premier early learning school in Reading, MA. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for an early childhood educator passionate about curriculum, teacher development, and meaningful learning. The Director of Education will lead and strengthen the school’s educational program, ensuring curriculum is thoughtfully planned, developmentally appropriate, consistently implemented, and continually enhanced. A key focus will be building on our strong existing practices and taking them to the next level. Working closely with teachers, the Director will support lesson planning, classroom practices, assessment, learning environments, and family communication through ongoing coaching and professional development. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, supportive leader who enjoys working alongside teachers, identifies opportunities for growth, and translates early childhood best practices into engaging classroom experiences. This role will help foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement. In partnership with the Director of Operations and leadership team, the Director of Education will also support daily school operations, including staffing and scheduling, staff supervision, and maintaining appropriate classroom coverage and ratios. ECE Leadership Experience (Required): Minimum 2-5 years as a Director in a licensed Childcare Center with 100+ students and 35+ teachers. Certification (Required): MA Director II Certification.
