Responsibilities
Garnet Health Doctors is actively searching for a dynamic Director of Pediatric Services to join our dedicated team at our state-of-the-art facilities in Middletown and Harris. Qualifications
Responsible for providing appropriate Pediatric care to all patients and as well as leadership, coordination and administration The Director of Pediatric is responsible for overseeing the pediatric in-patients assigned of Garnet Health Doctors. Director of Pediatric is responsible for providing direct patient clinical care and managing medical problems of acutely ill, hospitalized, pediatric patients. The Pedestrian is a part of the interdisciplinary team to improve efficiency and facilitate continuum of care for patients from admission to discharge. This continuum of care includes general pediatric medicine, consults as requested, and management of patients with various comorbidities. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Pedestrian will carry out assigned duties displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conducts as well as acting in the best interest of Garnet Health Doctors, supporting our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients. The position is responsible for the clinical excellence of Pediatric In Patient care services and for assisting in the out-patient development of programs aimed at meeting quality measures and population health management requirements.
Minimum Education:
M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy.
Required Certification/Registration:
NY State Medical License
Active and Unrestricted D.E.A. Certificate
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatrics,
PALS, NPR certifications required ACLS, BLS preferred
Physical Requirements:
Stands, walks, sits intermittently throughout the day. Lifts, pushes, pulls light to heavy weights as required.
Working Conditions:
In-patient Hospital Service of Orange Regional Medical Center. Position will primarily be light work requiring lifting up to 25 pounds with occasional lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasional bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling and reaching are required.
