Full Stack Software Engineer

Position Overview:

As we expand, we're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who is interested in solving challenging problems in Counter Unmanned Airborne Systems (C-UAS) and Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM).

Location:

We do our best work together! This role is primarily onsite in Syracuse, NY, with some flexibility to work remotely when the role and schedule allow.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of software components across our full stack, leveraging AWS services, Python, Flask, and SQL databases

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and implement features

• Improve on and expand the capabilities of our existing enterprise tools and customer facing-products, ensuring secure seamless communication and data synchronization

• Participate in collaborative design and code reviews.

• Document and clearly communicate designs to peers

• Test and validate designs to ensure proper and bug free operation

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering with a strong programming background

• Proficiency with Python

• Experience using and developing on Linux platforms

• Understanding of SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL) and database design principles

• Familiarity with protocols like ZeroMQ, SSH, HTTP and TLS

• Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and implementation best practices

• Abilitytotravel 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambdas

• Proficiency with or willingness to learn C++ Experience with or a desire to learn about distributed sensor networks

Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, disability insurance, and potential stock options.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is estimated at $85,000 to $90,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
