Machine Shop Technician | Temporary to Hire role | $28-30/hr. | Irwin, PA |

Monday-Friday 6:45am-3:15pm

Pay Rate/Compensation: $28–$30/hr.

Shift: M-F 6:45am-3:15pm

What’s a typical day as a Machine Shop Technician? You’ll be:

  • Assisting in the design and fabrication of tooling fixtures to hold customers’ parts in specialized machines

  • Manufacturing fixtures or parts per production schedule, following drawings or diagrams

  • Repairing damaged or worn fixtures to minimize downtime and maximize department efficiency

  • Collaborating with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and other departments to create optimal tooling solutions

  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation, adhering strictly to quality and company policies

  • Keeping your work area clean and safe, participating in required training, and protecting company property

  • Performing additional assignments and duties as requested

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a High School Diploma (required)

  • Are organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated

  • Can lift up to 55 pounds and work unsupervised

  • Possess at least two years of experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably with machine shop equipment (Bridgeport, drill press, lathe, MIG/TIG welders, cutting torches)

  • Can read drawings (preferred)

  • Are willing to be cross trained in other areas and comply with ISO procedures and processes

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Own your own hand tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)
