Director, Data Science

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Data Science for a casino customer in Las Vegas. The Director will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning initiatives across the enterprise. This leader will oversee a team of Data Scientists and ML Engineers while partnering with executive stakeholders across CRM, hotel operations, finance, labor, and other business units to drive predictive analytics, forecasting, personalization, and emerging AI capabilities. The role will be instrumental in shaping AI vision, including agentic AI and "talk to your data" initiatives.

• Build upon, define, and execute the enterprise Data Science roadmap
• Play an integral role in defining and executing the Agentic AI roadmap alongside executive peers
• Lead a team of Data Scientists and ML Engineers
• Drive demand forecasting, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics initiatives
• Migrate existing models into modern ML/AI frameworks
• Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize use cases
• Serve as a strategic liaison for Databricks-related initiatives
• Establish best practices around data science, MLOps, and model deployment
• Influence AI and analytics strategy through 2027 and beyond

Skills and Requirements

• Management experience within Data Science, Machine Learning, or Advanced Analytics
• Hospitality/casino gaming experience strongly preferred
• Experience leading Data Scientists and/or ML Engineers
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Databricks
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience building forecasting, predictive modeling, and machine learning solutions
• Ability to communicate with executives while maintaining technical credibility
• Experience developing analytics strategy and roadmaps
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills
• Master's degree
• Experience with MLOps practices
• Experience implementing semantic layers, conversational analytics, or "talk to your data" solutions
• Experience leading enterprise AI strategy or agentic AI initiatives
