Its capabilities include data science, software development, network engineering, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), and logistics.

Job Description

Position is contingent upon contract award

SOSi is seeking a Data Scientist to support our government customer in Chantilly, VA.

Essential Job Duties

  • serves as a key technical resource for advanced statistical methods, ML algorithm selection, and enterprise data strategy.

Qualifications

  • Active in scope TS/SCI w/ Poly.

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience.

  • Proficiency with major data science tools and languages such as PostgreSQL/SQL, Python, R, NiFi, and Git.

  • Experience with cleaning, managing, optimizing performance with, and processing large volumes of data.

  • Familiarity with industry best practices for software/hardware optimization when processing large data sets.

  • Experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, time-series forecasting, and/or geospatial analytics.

  • Experience with Hadoop, Spark, or other parallel storage/computing processes.

  • Experience providing services to develop AI/ML models and weights to facilitate object detection, data triage, search/optimization, inference, and automated discovery and decision making.
