Full job description
The Lead Phlebotomist is responsible for maintaining the staff schedule and managing call-outs, vacation coverage, etc. They will also be responsible for providing guidance, tracking and on-going support for employee training. The Lead will participate in ordering of lab supplies to assure unencumbered functioning of the laboratory. In addition they will perform laboratory requisition clerical and registration checks. This position will act as a liaison between departments and report any unresolved problems to the Laboratory Manager or the Administrative Director.
This position is responsible for collection and handling of blood and other clinical samples for testing.
Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent required. Prior phlebotomy experience and/or education of lab procedures required. Valid state driver's license required. Upon conditional offer of employment, must e able to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check in accordance with SVHC insurance requirements. PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
