Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an Auxiliary Systems Specialist with experience performing comprehensive maintenance for commercial skid-mounted cooling systems, high-pressure and low-pressure air systems, and associated mechanical and control components, conduct routine inspections; adhere to technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and safety standards. You will also coordinate with engineering, facilities, and operations personnel to support scheduled testing, maintenance windows, and emergency repairs.
Work is performed at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA. SCSC is located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and provides AEGIS and Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) combat systems for engineering, testing, training, and certification.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
This position requires a high school or GED diploma and five (5) years of experience providing maintaining auxiliary systems with two (2) years of experience troubleshooting, and repairing commercial skid-mounted systems, high-pressure and low-pressure air systems, and associated mechanical and control components.
Must be willing and able to perform in a variety of 40-hour work-week configurations, including:

Monday-Friday (5 x 8): 1st Shift

Monday-Friday (5 x 8): 2nd Shift

Variable 4 x 10 shifts that may include weekends (4 days on/3 days off) and may be 1st or 2nd shift

Sliding (5 x 8) work weeks (Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday) and may be 1st or 2nd shift
Additionally, these work week configurations may rotate to meet mission requirements.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Industrial facilities maintenance training and certification

Experience with lockout/tagout systems
Pay Information
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
