Full job description

Network Engineer

The Opportunity:

As a Network Engineer, you will help maintain and execute a network of simulators and modeling capabilities focused on providing exercise capabilities for various units. These simulators are in different locations throughout the country, and we are the client's engineering team responsible for managing the network, maintaining an Authority to Operate, improving system design and architecture, tier 1-3 troubleshooting during operations, hardware installs, lifecycle management, software releases and deployment, new features, and innovation.

As the Network Engineer, you will design, configure, and sustain the wide area and local networks that connect our geographically separated simulation sites into a single live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training environment. You will manage routers, switches, firewalls, and encryption devices across multiple classified and unclassified enclaves, and you'll make sure simulation traffic flows with the low latency and reliability that large-scale exercises demand. You will troubleshoot network issues during operations, implement and maintain STIG and RMF security controls to keep the network compliant.

You will work closely with the systems, software, cyber, and technical support engineers to integrate new sites, simulations, and capabilities into the network. This job requires an effective troubleshooter who can provide onsite support during operations and travel to outstation sites when needed. You will have a lot of growth opportunities within the program and areas for innovation on simulation systems.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise networks

  • Experience with Cisco routing and switching, including EIGRP, 802.1x, or Multicast

  • Experience configuring and managing firewalls and VPNs

  • Experience with Type 1 encryption devices

  • Experience implementing STIGs and supporting the RMF and ATO process for classified systems

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with network automation

  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds

  • Knowledge of the Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) networking protocol and multicast

  • CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
