Embracing Service, Inspiring Innovation, Promoting Teamwork, Pursuing Excellence, and Advancing Equity Under general supervision of the Deputy Director of Healthcare Quality, serves as director of the Bureau of Public Information and Regulatory Affairs. Responsible for regulatory and legislative affairs, as well as internal and external communications.

Oversees regulation development and ensures regulations are promulgated in accordance with the state Administrative Procedures Act and DPH policy, including stakeholder and regulated community outreach. Oversees the submissions and presentations of regulations. Serves as HQ's liaison with the Department of Legislative Affairs.

Supervises and provides direction and guidance to the staff of the Bureau of Public Information and Regulatory Affairs.

Oversees the enforcement, citation reconsideration and variance request processes.

Oversees HQ media, legislative, constituent, and Freedom of Information Act inquires.

Serves on the Healthcare Quality Management Team; Assists and collaborates with other Bureaus and Divisions within Healthcare Quality in the overall planning and promotion of accessible, high quality health care facilities and services throughout the State. Participates in meetings as subject matter expert for healthcare planning.

Performs other duties as necessary, including but not limited to, supports other offices and bureaus within Healthcare Quality, assists with training of new employees, participates in disaster preparedness and response when needed, and is designated an essential employee, subject to duty and/or call on a 24-hour basis during an emergency. State Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and relevant program management experience.
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the DPH Chief Human Resources Officer, or their delegate.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. A master's degree in public or healthcare policy, public administration, or juris doctor degree or its equivalent from an accredited law school.
