A leading enterprise organization is seeking a full time Software Engineer IV to join a highly visible FinOps and Cloud Engineering team. This position is focused on building modern internal platforms that help engineering organizations understand, manage, and optimize cloud spending across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable applications using modern web technologies, cloud native services, data platforms, and AI enabled capabilities.

This is a unique opportunity for an engineer who enjoys operating at the intersection of software development, cloud infrastructure, data engineering, and business strategy. The team is transforming how engineering leaders make financial decisions by creating intelligent tools that surface cloud cost insights, automate recommendations, and improve accountability across large technology organizations. The person selected will play a key role in defining new capabilities while remaining deeply involved in hands on development.

Must attend day 1 onboarding in Chicago.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience working within a FinOps or Cloud Financial Management organization

  • Strong software engineering background developing full stack applications

  • React, Angular, or Vue experience

  • Python and/or Java expertise

  • AWS cloud experience including cost management concepts

  • Kubernetes experience in production environments

  • Data engineering or analytics platform experience

Desired Skills & Experience

  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or Professional certification

  • Experience with CloudZero, Cloudability, Apptio, Kubecost, or OpenCost

  • Experience with agentic AI or LLM based applications

  • Data lake architecture experience

  • Infrastructure as code experience

  • Experience supporting large enterprise cloud environments

  • Cloud cost allocation and attribution modeling knowledge
