Full job description

Description We are looking for a Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and purchasing efforts across a broad range of spend categories in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This role is responsible for strengthening supplier performance, improving cost efficiency, and supporting reliable operations through thoughtful procurement leadership. The position also works closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives while advancing scalable procurement processes and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute category plans that balance cost, quality, innovation, supply security, and long-term supplier value across multiple areas of spend.

  • Direct the full procurement lifecycle, from sourcing strategy through negotiation and contract execution, to improve value and operational effectiveness.

  • Evaluate market conditions and supplier capabilities to uncover opportunities, anticipate risks, and shape forward-looking sourcing plans.

  • Develop productive supplier relationships that support service consistency, stronger performance, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

  • Work closely with Legal to structure supplier agreements, refine purchasing terms, and reduce commercial, financial, and brand exposure.

  • Lead the design and enhancement of source-to-pay processes, ensuring workflows are efficient, compliant, and ready for scalable adoption.

  • Act as the functional lead for procurement-related system implementation efforts in partnership with IT and Finance, including governance, approvals, and access structure planning.

  • Collaborate with department leaders to convert business needs into practical procurement solutions and system requirements aligned with established best practices.

  • Partner with Finance and senior leadership to build reporting frameworks, interpret spend data, and provide actionable recommendations for decision-making.

  • Establish performance measures and drive continuous improvement efforts that strengthen procurement operations and support organizational goals. Requirements • Demonstrated experience leading corporate procurement and strategic sourcing initiatives across diverse categories.

  • Strong background in contract negotiation, supplier management, and purchase order governance.

  • Knowledge of end-to-end buying processes and procurement function best practices.

  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, IT, and operational leadership.

  • Ability to analyze market trends, supplier risk, and spend data to support strategic decisions.

  • Familiarity with procurement technology implementations and process optimization within source-to-pay environments.

  • Proven skill in developing KPIs, reporting structures, and performance improvement plans.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities in a complex business setting.
