Full job description

We have an outstanding Contract position for aBenefits Coordinatorto join a leading Company located in theLaurel, MDsurrounding area.

Pay Rate: $26.60 - $38.00

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as initial point of contact for new hire questions related to health and welfare benefits.

  • Maintain Staff Benefits email box, responding to basic open enrollment questions and benefits questions , routing more complex questions and requests to Benefit Specialist, tracking issues to completion.

  • Provide general health and welfare benefits customer service support to staff and retirees via phone and email.

  • Resolve or raise issues to Benefit Specialist.

  • Review new hire and QLE enrollment requests in Workday.

  • Establish retiree records by leading data entry of new benefit elections, collecting required documents and preparing file . Facilitate online enrollment changes for retirees and their dependents.

  • File room maintenance including filing and purging.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or a Bachelor's degree

Desired Qualifications:

  • Health & Welfare benefits exposure, familiarity with annual benefits open enrollment process and administration.
