Position Overview:
A dynamic and expanding structural engineering firm located in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer with proven project management experience. This position will lead structural engineering projects in the residential, commercial, education, and renewable energy sectors. The successful candidate will supervise a collaborative team and guide projects from initial concept through successful completion. Key Responsibilities – Project Management and Structural Engineering

Lead and manage project teams, including engineers and drafters, to deliver high-quality solutions

Oversee all phases of structural engineering projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery

Perform technical tasks such as structural analysis, calculations, design, and detailing
-
Interpret and review contracts, scopes of work, and change orders
-
Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
-
Promote project success by motivating team members and providing technical oversight
-
Ensure projects adhere to company quality standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications – Professional Engineer (PE) Leadership
-
Bachelor’s degree in Architectural, Civil, or Structural Engineering
-
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in California (Civil or Structural), or ability to obtain
-
Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience in a variety of sectors
-
Proven track record of managing and mentoring project teams

Proficiency in structural calculations for residential, commercial, educational, or solar projects

Experienced with AutoCAD (2015 or newer), Enercalc, and RISA
-
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Adobe software
