Salary Range $70,021.22 - $88,260.69 Salary

Position Type Full Time, 12 Month

Description

Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center is looking for full-time (32.5 hours/week) or part-time (22.5 hours/week or 3 days a week) at our Wheatfield location. The Audiologist evaluates an individual's hearing to determine if a hearing impairment exists, and if so, the nature and extent of the impairment. Non-medical rehabilitation of an individual's hearing impairment is also provided by an audiologist through hearing aid evaluation and selection, speech reading training and auditory training. Prevention of hearing impairment is provided by an audiologist through hearing conservation.

Essential functions:

  • Administers audiology procedures (hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings, etc.) utilizing professional judgment in the selection of an appropriate test battery.

  • counsels and instructs patients regarding evaluation results and treatment.

  • Formulates and administers a treatment plan, which may include aural rehabilitation.

  • Writes accurate reports and maintains patient records.

  • Maintains patient confidentiality.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Physical requirements:

  • Physical actions may include, but are not limited to; bending, kneeling, standing, squatting, reaching, printing, crawling, and running.

  • Vision, speech, tactical and hearing senses adequate to perform job requirements.

  • Frequent sitting/ standing and when appropriate, floor sitting with pediatric patients

Minimum education required:

Degree from an accredited university in Audiology

Required licensure/certification:

  • New York State License in Audiology

  • New York State License in Hearing Aid Dispensing

Compensation: $70.021.22 to $88,260.69 + a comprehensive benefit package (for full-time employees)
