Summary

Build the future of Apple's search platform at the core of Apple's AI strategy. Apple's Search Platform powers how Apple's AI services find, retrieve, and ground answers for over a billion users. As the systems behind these experiences evolve from traditional search to retrieval-augmented generation and large language model grounding; this role sits at the center of that transformation. You will own the product strategy for the search and grounding infrastructure that underpins Apple's AI products, working with world-class engineering and ML teams to define what these systems do, how they scale, and where they go next.

Description

This is a high-autonomy leadership role. You will set the multi-year roadmap for search platform capabilities, drive zero-to-one product launches, and represent the team across Apple and with external partners. You'll influence dozens of engineers and partner with ML, infrastructure, and product surface teams to ship experiences that Apple customers rely on daily.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience bringing products from concept to launch, with significant experience in machine-learned systems, search infrastructure, or complex backend/frontend platforms

  • 3+ years of people management experience, including recruiting, developing, and leading teams of product managers

  • Deep understanding of scaled search systems, retrieval-augmented generation, grounding services, and evaluation methodologies

  • Deep understanding of software development for artificial intelligence and machine-learned products and services, and how analytics and evaluation data can improve those products

  • Proficient in analyzing raw and refined product data to identify opportunities and measure impact

  • Proven ability to translate product vision and business goals into technical requirements for large-scale, zero-to-one launches

  • Proven ability to align product roadmaps across large, matrixed organizations while maintaining the judgment to dive into technical details when it matters

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills at all levels of an organization, from engineering teams to executive leadership

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on a global-scale search service

  • Experience building developer APIs for first- and third-party technical platforms

  • MBA, M.S., or Ph.D. with a focus in machine learning, data mining, or statistics

  • Prior product management experience in speech recognition, natural language understanding, search, data pipelines, and/or A/B testing

  • Director-level or above product management experience at a top technology company
