Description
Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Spring Co-Op candidate to join the Immune Regulation team within the Oncology Research department located at our Ridgefield CT facility.
As an Immune Regulation Co-Op, you will collaborate with scientists on in vitro experiments in the field of cancer immunology. The tumor microenvironment (TME) contains a complex network of suppressive immune and stromal cells, soluble mediators, and metabolic constraints that collectively inhibit anti-tumor immunity. In vitro immune assays are useful for evaluating immune cell activation, they often fail to recapitulate the suppressive conditions present within solid tumors. This co-op project aims to develop and establish functional immune suppression assays that mimic key components of the TME. These assays will provide translational platforms for evaluating novel immunomodulatory therapeutics and identifying mechanisms that restore anti-tumor immune function.
As an employee of Boehringer Ingelheim, you will actively contribute to the discovery, development and delivery of our products to our patients and customers. Our global presence provides opportunity for all employees to collaborate internationally, offering visibility and opportunity to directly contribute to the companies´ success.
